But a strategy I see car salesman do but not roofing salesman doing is sending mailers for the holidays.
Now lets dive into how this is a tactic that can make your customer experience better under an umbrella of tactics that make your customers like you more.
Overview of the tactic
The simplest way to make your customers like you more is just making sure you give them some sort of gift.
Things like cookies after a project’s complete or leaving them a hand written card from the PM to show your appreciation + a gift card
But what if, to top this, you could make the gift giving happen over the course of 1 year or 10 years!
To do the “Holiday Mailer Strategy”, all you’d have to do is, for every holiday in the year you’d get some cards and send them out to all past roof replacement customers or roof repairs
Why?
Doing this not only gets you in front of the customer’s you’ve worked with and just reminds them you’re still around (and referrable) but also that you’re not just some roofing company that will just take their money and disappear.
It’s more of a long term gift giving to show you appreciate them.
You can take this a step further though if you instead of just have a simple card saying “Happy Christmas From The XYZ Roofing Company!”,
You could have in a deal for someone who refers your company and you close the project, or on Christmas you could have a “Give This Gift To Someone Who Needs It! Get $X Off Your Roof Replacement”
You’re not only saying thank you for the project but you’re also building an affiliate at the same time increasing your chances of a referral.
This tactic is simple and shouldn’t be overcomplicated.
As long as you’ve got the customer in mind, you’ll make more customers come.
